Homes in the community
Community Integrated Living
Supportive living arrangements in the community, with staff support for daily living, caring for a home and taking part in neighbourhood life.
Supportive living arrangements in the community
Community Integrated Living (CILA) is a variety of supportive living arrangements in the community. People live in their community, with staff support for all aspects of daily living.
Blue Cap sums the program up in one sentence: Community Integrated Living services basically supports life. The word that carries it is the first one. The community is where the person lives, not a place the person visits.

Daily living, the home and the community
Staff support reaches three areas, in Blue Cap's own words: daily living, caring for the home, and interacting and participating in the community. Each one belongs to the person whose home it is.
As with every program at Blue Cap, the support is designed for each individual. Daily activities address that person's skills and personal goals, whether the goal is a job, a new skill, or being an integral part of the community.
How a place is found
Everyone who comes to Blue Cap receives a comprehensive assessment and a customized recommendation, built on person-centered planning, so that the service placement fits the person.
The usual first step at Blue Cap is a call to the main office to schedule an appointment and a tour. After touring, if Blue Cap feels like the right place, the team can direct you through the placement process.
