Get involved with Blue Cap in Blue Island

Blue Cap has supported people with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1967, and a lot of that support walks in through the door with a volunteer, a family or a company. Each way to help below comes with the name of the person to call. Pick the one that fits your week and ring them.

Bring your people

  • Family & Friends Association

Formed in the 1970s as the Parent Association by families who wanted to support activities for their children at Blue Cap. Today it is a large group of parents, siblings, extended families and friends. What it raises goes into a restricted Activity Fund, so people can take part in community activities that match their own interests.

  • Lend a Hand: a Volunteer Day at your company

Give your whole team a day at Blue Cap. Staff volunteer while their own company keeps paying them.

Leave something lasting

Planned giving and the Infinity Society

Consider including Blue Cap in your estate plans by becoming a member of the Infinity Society. A gift in a will or estate plan keeps supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Blue Island long after the day it is written.
