Donate to Blue Cap

Your donation to Blue Cap makes an immediate impact in the lives of people with disabilities.

Blue Cap has supported people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Blue Island since 1967. Below are the ways people give, from a gift that goes straight to the working day to a brick that stays in the garden for good.

Where a gift can go

  1. General Support

Gifts to General Support go to immediate use in day-to-day operations.

  2. Bequests and the Infinity Society

Bequests are the cornerstone of most estate plans and one of the easiest and most flexible ways to leave a gift to Blue Cap that will make a lasting impact. With the help of an attorney, you can include language in your will or trust specifying a gift be made to Blue Cap as part of your estate plan. Consider including Blue Cap in your estate plans by becoming a member of the Infinity Society.

  3. Memorial or Honorary donation

If you wish, the family of the donation honoree receives notification from us of your contribution.

  4. Special Events

Attend, sponsor or donate through the events Blue Cap holds through the year.

    See the Special Events page
  5. A Celebration Garden brick

Place a brick to permanently commemorate weddings, anniversaries, military service, graduations, births, birthdays, milestones, family or the loss of a loved one.

  6. Items such as clothes and furniture

Bring them to the Development Department at the Instructional Center, 1962 Broadway. Please call Jill Hart first at the main number, ext. 108.
